Vendée Globe

The Vendée Globe is a single-handed, non-stop yacht race around the world, launched in 1989. It takes place every four years and is renowned for being one of the most challenging sailing events, primarily due to the extreme conditions sailors face in the Southern Ocean and the requirement for participants to race solo without outside assistance. The race starts from Les Sables-d’Olonne in France, and it has become a significant event in the sailing calendar, attracting top sailors from around the globe. The course typically covers approximately 24,000 nautical miles, making it a test of both endurance and skill.
